Services We Provide
-
Parent Training
Parent training is an extremely valuable component of our services. ABA parent training can even be effective and helpful if your child does not receive one-on-one ABA services. Parent training offers you the opportunity to receive guidance and support from a trained behavior analyst who specializes in creating individualized recommendations and intervention plans that result in meaningful change for children. This service can help parents learn about effective ways to improve their child’s skills, manage challenging behaviors, and support their child’s growth and development.

Special Education Consultation
Our specialists are Certified Special Education Teachers who provide classroom observations of teachers and students. We also provide families with IEP meeting reviews and assistance in developing a proficient IEP. We support families in understanding their child’s progress by reviewing the data the school provides to the families, such as the quarterly progress notes. Our Staff is also composed of Board Certified Behavior Analysts that will support families in understanding their child’s FBA (Functional Behavioral Assessment) that was written out by the school. An FBA then determines the child’s BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan). Our BCBAs will help analyze if the current BIP has been an effective plan for the school to follow and provide suggestions to improve the child’s BIP. Our team can also help address the needs of the school staff by providing professional development training so that the school staff can learn how to work with your child on a different level.

ABA 1:1 Support
AVANZOS focuses ABA 1:1 support through a Naturalistic approach known as “NET”. Natural environment teaching (NET) is an instructional method used in ABA therapy that involves working in an environment that the child encounters in their everyday life, or an environment that the child prefers. Typically, Natural environment teaching looks less structured and more organic than discrete trial training (DTT). NET requires the therapist to be very aware of the learner’s targets and to follow their learner’s lead as a guide to what will be motivating and engaging to the learner.

TeleABA Services
teleABA offers an effective alternative to in-person services by providing ABA therapy via a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Through a secure and easy virtual meeting, your BCBA provides direct therapy and parent consultation remotely, helping your child to continue to make great strides in their progress

The teen and young adult years present unique opportunities and challenges as individuals move into this new and often confusing developmental phase. Our programs for teens and young adults focus on independence, navigating friendships and romantic relationships, and job readiness.
